Two New Sunspots are Rapidly Emerging on the Solar Disk
AN UPTICK IN SOLAR FLARE ACTIVITY: Two new sunspots are rapidly emerging on the solar disk, and one of them is crackling with B- and C-class solar flares. So far the eruptions are minor. However, they do represent a noteable uptick in activity compared to the absolute quiet of recent months.
Almost an M-Flare, but this minor C9.3 flare Saturday morning at 07:29 UTC around new region 2628 in the southeast quadrant is the second largest x-ray occurrence we've seen since the beginning of 2017.
With currently four spotted regions visible, additional isolated M-Flares may be possible.
