A new sunspot is breaking through the surface of the sun and it is crackling with solar flares
NEW SUNSPOT: A new sunspot is breaking through the surface of the sun's northern hemisphere, and it is crackling with C-class solar flares. These are minor explosions, which could intensify if the sunspot continues to grow.
A new sunspot (2635) is now forming in the northeast quadrant and will be monitored. An isolated minor C-Flare will be possible as the region evolves.

Solar activity was very low. A group of spots began to emerge late in the period near approximately N13E29, as observed in SDO/HMI Intensitygrams. We await confirming surface-based observatory reports before assigning as a new numbered region. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery
. .Forecast... Solar activity is expected to be very low during the forecast period (09-11 Feb).
